
(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met last night in regular session. The Council took the recommendation of the it’s Plan Commission and approved a Special Use Permit for the placement of a Medical Heliport at 3666 North Illinois Route 130 : approved a renewed 20 year Franchise Agreement with Republic Services for residential solid waste collection and disposal services : approved a renewed 10 year Franchise Agreement with Illinois Gas Company as the non-rate agreement deals with easements and right-of-ways : approved a plan to restructure the Disc Golf Course at Olney’s Rotary Park : approved an amendment to the City’s Tourism Grant Application whereas financial support will be considered for non-profits only : approved the sale of miscellaneous scrap and old fencing to Wilson Metals : approved the sale of surplus Fire Department equipment on www.GovDeals.com : took no action on a motion to approve the annual monetary contribution to the U.S. Route 50 Four-Lane Coalition : took no action to amend the City’s Food Ordinance as the motion died due to no second : and took no other action after an executive session to discuss real property and personnel : the next meeting of the Olney City Council will be February 26.
