(LOUISVILLE) The March 20, 2018 Primary Election will include a choice on the Republican ballot for the 109th District State Representative. The challenger running against State Representative David Reis is Clay County farmer, Darren Bailey, of rural Louisville. The owner of Bailey Farms is a North Clay High School graduate who served for 17 years on the North Clay School Board, 12 of those years as Board President. Bailey has been endorsed for the 109th State House seat by the Illinois Family Institute, plus endorsements from current State Senator Kyle McCarter and former Congressman Joe Walsh. Bailey and his wife, Cindy, have four children and four grandchildren. Cindy serves as the Executive Director of the Full Armor Christian Academy in Louisville, a private Christian School founded in August of 2016 by the Bailey Family. The winner in the March 20 Primary will then be the Republican candidate on the General Election ballot later this fall on November 6. All are encouraged to make sure they are registered to vote and then turn out to vote on March 20.
