(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the cold front that moved through our downstate area last night is now draped along the Ohio River Valley, some lingering showers behind it will end for us this morning and our sky will clear up with some sunshine expected the rest of today. However, cooler air will continue to move in on a northwesterly wind. An upper wave disturbance will move in with some scattered rain here or there late Saturday morning into the afternoon. Then a mild and dry day expected Sunday before another active weather pattern takes hold next week, setting up a period of warm and unsettled conditions Monday through Wednesday. In fact, some heavy rainfall amounts are possible for our downstate region by midweek, next week. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and information. Tune in to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio.
