The Noble Lions Club will have its annual Saturday (2/24/18) morning breakfast this weekend with serving from 7:00 to 11:30 at the Lions Club Building in Noble. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and drinks with tickets at the door, $6 for adults and $3 for children age 10 and under. All are invited out.
It’s another Olney Knights of Columbus Friday (2/23/18) night “fish fry” this weekend at the Olney City Park Community Building, with serving from 5:00 until 7:00. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds from this week’s Friday night “fish fry” will benefit the St. Joseph School in Olney. Everyone is welcome.
The Richland County School District will hold a community informational meeting about the proposed renovation of Richland County High School and the Richland County School Facility Sales Tax this coming Thursday night, February 22, starting at 7:00. The informational meeting will be held in Room 116 at the Richland County High School. Following the presentation by Superintendent of Schools Larry Bussard, tours of the Richland County High School will be available. All are invited to the information meeting Thursday night at RCHS.
The Free Methodist Church Relay For Life Team has a “community” fundraiser at Monical’s Pizza in Olney this Wednesday, February 21. To help out, customers need to fill out a fundraising form before they pay and 20% of their receipt will be donated to the local fight against cancer. For carry-out orders, simply mention the fundraiser while ordering. That’s this Wednesday, all day & night, at Moncial’s Pizza.
The Parent Educational and Support Group will meet tomorrow (2/20/18) night at Integrated Therapy Services on North Jackson Street in Newton, starting at 6:30. Debi O’Brien, from Equine LEAD, will be the guest speaker. It’s a free event, although donations are accepted for programming support. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. A Relay For Life fundraiser is tonight from 5:00 to 8:00 at Culver’s Restaurant in Effingham. You can donate while you dine as Culver’s will donate 10% of your receipt to the American Cancer Society’s “Beauty of Hope.” It’s sponsored by the Crowns Against Cancer Team. All are invited out to help.
