(OLNEY/NEWTON) It’s much quieter weather in the short term to start this work week as high pressure will dominate the next couple days. A light wind and some sunshine will fill the sky today and part of tomorrow as well, however our next weather-making front will give us more clouds tomorrow afternoon and our next chance of rain by early Wednesday morning, after midnight. A dry Wednesday afternoon will be followed by more rain chances that night through Thursday morning. All followed by a dry and a little cooler Friday, plus what appears to be a dry first weekend of March. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for updates.
(NEWTON/OLNEY) The National Weather Service does have a few Flood Warnings in effect for areas rivers and/or basin regions, therefore all residents must keep these in mind. Especially a warning to all motorists to stay off of all rural roads that are covered with flooded backwaters. The flood waters will persist for most all of this week along portions of the Little Wabash, Embarras, and Wabash River basins.
