(NEWTON) The Eagle for Life Fund Advisory Committee will be hosting the Eagle for Life “Day of Giving” set for this coming Friday, March 23, in Jasper County. The concept is simple with the plan to raise funds in a 24 hour period with the goal of $15,000 to be used at the Newton Elementary School, for the purchase of a much-needed new sound system for the gymnasium and to help purchase new playground equipment. Contributions to the Eagle for Life Foundation “Day of Giving” on Friday can be made online at www.enrichingourcommunity.org/EagleForLife or by calling on Friday at 618-783-3399. In person donations can also be made by stopping by the Jasper County Chamber of Commerce at 124 South Van Buren Street in Newton from 9:00 to 4:00 on Friday.
