(OLNEY/NEWTON) In the Republican race for the 109th District State House seat, challenger Darren Bailey won his bid to beat out incumbent David Reis to be on the Republican ballot in November’s General Election. Bailey received 56.8% of the vote with 9,718 total tallies, compared to Reis’ 7,399 votes which resulted in 43.2% of the total votes cast in the 109th race.
(EFFINGHAM) In the Republican race for the 107th District State House seat, Blaine Wilhour had 60.4% of the votes to nudge out Laura Myers with 39.6%. The Beecher City native had 6,306 votes to 4,143.
(CHAMPAIGN) In the Republican race for the 110th District State House seat, Chris Miller had 65% of the vote to beat out Terry Davis with 35%. Miller had 10,002 votes compared to Davis’ 5,388 total.
