(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a slow-moving cold front approaches from the Great Plains, our downstate rain chances will start late this afternoon and rapidly increase tonight through tomorrow as temperatures remain mostly steady all this week ahead. An upper level low is expected to follow the cold front by Wednesday, giving us on and off rain chances for the rest of the work week. With a flood watch in effect for all of our listening area through Tuesday night, rainfall amounts could range from 1 to 3 inches, more or less is some locations, now through the end of the week. Some thunderstorms are also possible as the cold front moves through by tomorrow night. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for updates and forecast information.
