The Olney Firefighter’s Association has its breakfast fundraiser this Saturday (4/21/18) morning at the Olney Fire Station on North Walnut Street with serving from 6:00 to 11:00 or until sold out. Admission by donations at the door, plus carry-outs and phone-in orders available. The proceeds will be used to assist the OFA with its support of the Olney Fire Department with future purchases and for the OFA’s Scholarship program.
The First Chrisitan Church of Noble will have a pork burger fundraiser this Saturday (4/21/18) with serving at 11:00 at Rural King. Proceeds will be used for the high school & college age Mission Trip to Costa Rica.
The Richland County Elementary School 5th Grade classes will be performing their music program entitled “A Million Dreams” this Thursday and Friday mornings at 10:00 in the RCES dining hall. The classes of teachers Michels, Mitchell, and Walker will perform Thursday (4/19/18) and the classes of teachers Dobbs, Shipman, and Woods will perform on Friday (4/20/18). All are invited to attend these performances.
The Ridgway Chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society will meet tomorrow (4/17/18) night at 7:00 at the First Presbyterian Church in Olney. The program will be presented by Dr. Jeffrey Hoover of the Illinois Natural History Survey on the topic of “songbird and turkey research.” All are invited to attend.
Aperion Care in Olney and the Olney Police Department will host an educational seminar this evening (4/16/18) on “911 : What You Need To Know” starting at 5:00. The free community event will discuss the difference between landline and cellular calls, pre-arrival medical instructions, and more. All are invited.
The Auxiliary of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital will have a Book Fair today from 9:00 to 3:30 in the private dining rooms at the hospital. There will be quality books, gifts, cards, toys, and much more, all at discount prices. All proceeds go for Auxiliary projects at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital.
