(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau has released its first springtime rainfall report from the nine townships within Richland County, with the recording period ending at 10:00 Monday (4/16/18) morning. The highest amount of precipitation for the past week was an inch and nine tenths (1.90) in Noble Township, followed by an inch and a quarter (1.25) in one Bonpas Township location. There were six sites that received one inch of rain (1.00), including the other Bonpas Township location, along with Preston, German, Claremont, and Decker Townships, plus the Farm Bureau office in Olney. The three remaining townships received nine tenths of an inch (0.90) including Denver, Olney, and Madison. Here at our WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service Weather Station at the south edge of Olney we received an inch and a quarter (1.25) of rain over the past week, which by the way compares to only sixteen-hundredths of an inch (0.16) received a year ago (4/16/17) this past week.
