The Hidalgo Independent Christian Church will host Jake Sammons this Sunday evening at 6:00. The former member of the Allegiance Trio is a musician, songwriter, author, and speaker. Admission is free, although free will donations will be accepted. Refreshments and an informal “meet & greet” will follow.
The First Chrisitan Church of Noble will have a pork burger fundraiser this Saturday with serving at 11:00 at Rural King. Proceeds will be used for the high school & college age Mission Trip to Costa Rica.
The Olney Firefighter’s Association has its breakfast fundraiser this Saturday morning at the Olney Fire Station on North Walnut Street with serving from 6:00 to 11:00 or until sold out. Admission by donations at the door, plus carry-outs and phone-in orders available. The proceeds will be used to assist the OFA with its support of the Olney Fire Department with future purchases and for the OFA’s Scholarship program.
The Olney Central College Music Department will present its Spring Concert this coming Friday night in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center, starting at 7:30. The concert will include performances from the OCC Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Jazz Ensemble. Admission is free and all ages are invited.
The Olney Quilt Guild will present a trunk show by Claudia Lash of Presto Avenue Designs with several of her one-of-a-kind quilts coming up tonight at the Olney Church of the Nazarene on North Walnut Street, beginning at 7:00. Free will donations accepted at the door and all are invited to attend this evening.
The Richland County Elementary School 5th Grade classes will be performing their music program entitled “A Million Dreams” today and tomorrow in the RCES dining hall. The classes of teachers Michels, Mitchell, and Walker will perform this morning at 10:00. The classes of teachers Dobbs, Shipman, and Woods will perform tomorrow morning at 10:00. All are invited to attend one or both of the performances.
