(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau has released its weekly rainfall report as reported from the nine townships within Richland County, with the recording period ending at 10:00 Monday (4/23/18) morning. The highest amount of precipitation for the past week was seven tenths of an inch (0.70) in one of the Bonpas Township’s recording sites. The county’s second highest total was a half inch (0.50) in the other Bonpas Township location and in Claremont Township. Madison Township had the fourth highest amount of rain at forty-five hundredths of an inch (0.45). The four Townships of Decker, Denver, German, and Noble, along with the Farm Bureau Office in Olney, received four tenths of an inch (0.40). Then it was Olney Township with thirty-five hundredths (0.35) and Preston Township with a quarter of an inch (0.25). We, here at our WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service Weather Station at the south edge of Olney, received forty-eight hundredths of an inch (0.48) of rain over the past week, which by the way compares to nearly the same as a year ago this past week, at forty-three hundredths of an inch (0.43) of rain.
