(OLNEY) The Olney Post Office and others throughout Illinois and the United States will be taking part in this year’s “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive this coming Saturday, May 12. Everyone is encouraged to “Fill a Bag – Help Feed Families” as residents can place healthy, nonperishable food items in bags and place them near their mailbox prior to their normal mail delivery time on Saturday. All food will be collected and then donated to Master’s Hands in Olney to help those in need in Richland County. Food items suggested includes pasta, cereal, oatmeal, canola oil, peanut butter, and canned goods, such as beans, fruit, vegetables, soup, tuna in water, and sauce (glass should be avoided). Food items can also be dropped off at the Olney Post Office Saturday morning. Thanks in advance to everyone for helping out those in need this Saturday.
