(OLNEY) Join Citizens National Bank of Albion, at the Olney Branch, for a community wide “shred day” and “electronics’ collection day” this coming Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 in the facility’s east parking lot. It’s for the residents and businesses of Olney, all free of charge. Not only can old documents like old bank statements, credit card offers, tax documents, medical records, old miscellaneous files, & more be shredded, but electronic items can be destroyed as well, such as desktop and laptop computers, servers, keyboards, mice, new type monitors, stereos, speakers, flat screed TV’s, all general electronics, and more. Items not accepted include no appliances, no old style tube-type TV’s, and no old tube style computer monitors. Plus it’s an Animal Shelter “Food Drive” with all unopened bags of dog and cat food accepted to benefit the Richland County Animal Shelter. (OLNEY) A benefit dinner and concert to benefit the Clinica Evangelica Morava in Honduras is to be held this Friday evening at The Holiday in Olney, beginning at 6:00. It’s a night of fun, good food, and music while supporting the work of the clinic in Honduras, which includes healthcare, preventative healthcare, prenatal care, inpatient and outpatient care, and much more. The $30 per person tickets, or $160 for a table of six, are currently available at TrustBank, the First National Bank in Olney, the West Salem Moravian Church, the First Christian Church of Noble, or by contacting Rachel Pampe, Lori Kilpatrick, Jan Crites, or Cindy Bailey. The night includes a buffet meal, live entertainment, and a silent auction with several items and prizes donated from area businesses with bidding open all evening. All are invited to attend.
