(NEWTON/OLNEY) The Illinois Soybean Association checkoff program is co-hosting a series of regional events this month designed to help local farmers be better business managers. The “Resilient Farmer Roadshow” includes information about financial habits of successful farmers, cash flow management, grain marketing, crop insurance, and making good agronomic decisions based on potential return on investment, plus more. Each event begins with registration at 8:15 in the morning and will conclude at 12:00 noon with an optional workshop to follow in the afternoon. With three events in upstate Illinois this week in DeKalb, Galesburg, and Bloomington, the two downstate seminars are next Tuesday, February 20, in Altamont, and Wednesday, February 21, in Mt. Vernon. For details or to register, visit www.farmdoc.illinois.edu/resilient-farmer/. The program is co-sponsored by the University of Illinois and Illinois Farm Business Farm Management.
