(OLNEY) The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Richland County will have the final two days of its annual fundraising “Bowl For Kid’s Sake” this weekend at the Olney Bowling Center. Five member teams can still be added to the bowling list this Saturday & Sunday. Each bowler is asked to raise at least $30 and during the event, bowlers will get free shoe rental, free pizza and drinks, t-shirts, and lane prizes. All proceeds will benefit the critical Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program in Richland County. (OLNEY) Tickets are now on sale for the Olney Central College Theater’s spring production of “Sister Act,” sponsored by TrustBank. The $12 tickets can be purchased online at www.iecc.edu/occtheater or by calling OCC at 618-395-7777, extension 2408. The tickets will also be on sale at the OCC box office. Seven performances are scheduled for the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center stage, including night time shows at 7:30 each night on March 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. The two Sunday afternoon performances will begin at 2:00 on March 18 and 25. “Sister Act” does include some mild adult situations and language. (OLNEY/NEWTON) With an urgent call for all eligible blood donors to get out and give blood, here’s the list of upcoming blood drives in our region : today at the Robinson Community Center from 1:00 to 6:00 : tomorrow at the Stewardson-Strasburg High School from 2:30 to 7:00 : Friday at the Richland County High School from 8:00 to 1:00 : Saturday at the Blood Donation Center in Effingham from 7:45 to 2:15 : all blood types and platelets are very much needed to help replenish low regional blood supplies.
