(OLNEY/NEWTON) While a Flood Watch for our downstate surrounding counties ends at 6:00 this morning, it appears the average area overnight rainfall was between one and two inches in Southeastern Illinois. With the cold front bringing in some colder air, there is a chance we could see some freezing rain and/or sleet this morning, but it’s back to all rain for the rest of today through tonight. A Canadian high pressure will move through the Upper Midwest tonight, giving us a mostly dry day tomorrow after some morning rain on Thursday. Then more rain chances Friday morning, Friday night, and again Saturday through Saturday night. We’ll welcome in a dry period from Sunday through Tuesday for the first part of next week. Listen to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for complete weather updates.
