(OLNEY/NEWTON) As an upper low currently centered over northwestern Iowa makes its way southeastward today across Illinois, we’ll see increasing clouds before we get some late afternoon rain showers with the rain then continuing overnight. We could see some light snow or flurries before the precipitation ends late tonight as colder air moves in behind the front. Our downstate area will also have a strong wind today out of the west/southwest before its switches from the west later tonight with the frontal passage. We’ll then dry out with a little cooler air in place tomorrow through Thursday. Our next rain chance will be Friday through early Saturday morning and possibly some rain and snow now in the forecast for Saturday night into Sunday.
