(NEWTON) The Jasper County Agricultural Association has planned an informational breakfast for this coming Saturday morning, March 17, from 8:00 to 10:00, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Newton. It’s also during the breakfast, that JCAA board members will share upcoming plans for the Jasper County Fair, which includes the raising of funds to build a new show ring and livestock building to replace the current 50+ year old structure on the fairgrounds. The new facility will offer area youth and adults the opportunity to show for another 50 plus years while promoting agriculture and developing skills that the youth will carry with them into their future education and career choices. The plans for the new facility will also include other events to be held in the building. So mark your calendar to join the Jasper County Fair Board as it shares plans at the informational breakfast this Saturday, March 17, from 8:00 to 10:00, in Newton. The Fair Board members will be present to answer questions and provide details of the three year building plan.
