Time is running out to order fish thru the Richland County Soil & Water Conservation District’s spring fish sale. With delivery set for March 29 at the SWCD Office in Olney, the fish must be ordered by next Tuesday March 27. Stop by the SWCD Office in Olney or call 618-392-7141, extension 3 Monday.
Tickets are still on sale for the final two performances of “Sister Act” this weekend at Olney Central College, all sponsored by TrustBank. The remaining $12 tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth an hour before each performance begins. That’s tonight at 7:30 and tomorrow afternoon at 2:00.
The Annual Spring Bazaar is today at the St. Thomas Parish Center in Newton, running from 9:00 to 3:00. While the food will be provided by Ochs Street Smoked Meats & Catering, there will be all types of items available for purchase. From embroidery and quilts to doll clothes, from scrapbooking and wood gifts to jewelry, from skin care items to various crafts. There’ll be something for everyone.
It’s the “spring carry-out chowder” today at the Parkersburg Community Building with serving to start at 11:00 and continue until it’s all gone. Bring your own containers, but no glass. All proceeds go to the Parkersburg Community Club to be used for various area community projects. All are invited.
The Noble First Christian Church has a fundraising cookout today near the corner of First Street & Route 50 in Noble. They’ll be serving pork chop sandwiches, chips, and a drink, carry-outs only with serving from 11:00 until sold out. All proceeds go to support an upcoming mission trip to Costa Rica.
