Bryan’s “Forging A Traditional Iron Rose” show will air next Tuesday afternoon, April 3, at 3:30, and will then re-air a week from today on Saturday afternoon, April 7, at 2:00. Bryan’s final show, “Forging A Horseshoe Heart” will air Tuesday afternoon, April 24, at 3:30, and again Saturday afternoon, April 28, at 2:00. (OLNEY/NEWTON) With an American Red Cross “urgent call” in place for all eligible blood donors to get out and give blood, here’s the upcoming regional blood drives : today (3/31/18) at the Blood Donation Center in Effingham from 7:45 to 2:15 : next Monday (4/2/18) at the Christian Church Annex in Mason from 2:00 to 6:00 : also next Monday (4/2/18) at the Effingham Elks Club from 2:00 to 6:00 : other blood drives coming up next week are in Effingham, Mattoon, Greenup, Patoka, Salem, and Flora : all blood types and platelets are much needed to help replenish the low regional blood supply.
The Auxiliary of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital will host a “Book Fair” fundraiser next Monday (4/2/18) from 9:00 to 3:30 in the hospital’s private dining rooms. It will include quality books at discount prices, plus more. All proceeds go towards Auxiliary projects at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
The Runyon Jungle “Wild For A Cure” Relay For Life team has an Easter Cookout today at CVS in Olney, serving from 10:00 to 2:00. Includes pork burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, bratwursts, hot dogs, chips, drinks, and plenty of baked goods. All proceeds go to support our local fight against cancer.
