(NEWTON) The 100 Women Who Care Jasper County, the local circle steering committee, is gearing up for another year of charitable giving and is urging more women in Jasper County to join. The giving circle will continue its philanthropic work at the first meeting of 2018 coming up on Thursday, April 12, a week from tomorrow night, at the Newton Community High School Library. With registration at 5:00 that evening, the meeting will start at 6:00, as light refreshments will be provided by students in the NCHS Food Class. Those attending should enter through the NCHS door #19, on the south side of the school. The 100 Women Who Care Jasper County meet three times a year as members join the organization annually and sign a commitment to donate $400 per year. It’s at each meeting that local non-profits are nominated and presented and then are voted on by the members.
