(OLNEY/NEWTON) It’s another nice spring day ahead for Central and Southeastern Illinois today with that high pressure ridge still over the Upper Midwest, however an approaching upper level trof will eventually bring us some clouds by tonight and the likelihood of some rain late tonight through tomorrow, with some severe weather conditions possible. An associated cold front will follow, passing through by midnight Wednesday night with any lingering rain coming to an end. But as the front stalls out and lifts northward as a warm front, we’ll experience our warmest weather so far this spring while the rain chances stay to our north Friday through Saturday. Then as the front shifts back southward, we’ll have some slight rain chances Sunday night, followed by dry and more warm weather on Monday and back to shower and thunderstorm possibilities next Tuesday, a week from today. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for continued weather updates.
