The City of Newton’s City-Wide Clean Up is tomorrow and Saturday. That’s Friday from 8:00 to 4:00 and Saturday from 7:00 to 3:00. Those wanting to use the dumpsters in the alley behind the Newton City Hall should follow the signs, enter the alley on Morgan Street and exit on Jourdan Street. The Richland County Addiction Prevention Coalition invites everyone to join them to learn more about the Opioid Epidemic with a special presentation tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at Olney Central College. The documentary entitled “The Heroin Project” will be shown with a question and answer session, plus health instructors will present Narcan training. The educational event is open to the public with free admission.
