(OLNEY) The slow-moving upper level low pressure that’s still hanging over Illinois will eventually push out of the state today as it lifts northward into the Great Lakes region. This will give us some wrap around light rain until mid-morning when the clouds start to break up and clear away for some afternoon sunshine on this Saturday. But, the dry weather could be short-lived as a frontal boundary is now expected to set up and linger over the Midwest, giving us those on-and-off-again chances of hit-or-miss showers and possibly some thunderstorms. In fact, there’s an increasing chance of some severe weather conditions with a few of the storms that develop Sunday evening. Then after some rain chances through Monday, we dry out for the rest of the work week, next week. It may be a stormy holiday weekend. Stay tuned for weather updates.
