(OLNEY/NEWTON) Our downstate region will get more soaking rainfall today as the remnants of subtropical depression Alberto continue to push north/northeastward across Illinois. Both cloud cover and further rain will keep the temperatures from getting nearly as warm as the last few days on this Wednesday. Higher amounts of rain are expected closer to the Illinois/Indiana state line as Alberto’s remnants move out of our area by tonight. Then an approaching low pressure system moves in from the west, which could set off another round of showers and maybe some thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon, ending tomorrow night. With a dry Friday and Saturday expected, another short wave could produce some rain Saturday night through Sunday. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather updates and information.
