(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the remains of Alberto dropped up to another inch of rain in our downstate area over the past 24 hours, another approaching low pressure system will bring more rain and storm opportunities to us later this afternoon and evening. Although moving a little slower than first anticipated, the storm system will likely bring us two rounds of rain chances through tonight. Then after some lingering rain showers are spotty in nature tomorrow morning, we’ll dry out for Friday and most of Saturday. Another frontal passage will quickly bring us rain chances for Saturday night, followed by a more pleasant and dry day Sunday, with slightly cooler air moving in for a while. A dry period then sets up over the region through midweek, next week. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather updates and any possible warnings or alerts.
