(OLNEY/NEWTON) High pressure will dominate our downstate weather today, and in fact, a good portion of this first full week of June 2018. We’ll have abundant sunshine on this Monday, although a short-wave trough tracking east/southeast of the lower Mississippi River Valley could give us some high and thin clouds mixed in. While we stay dry here in the downstate region, a cold front will likely bring some rain to the Upper Midwest late tonight through tomorrow. We’ll have a dry and sunny sky for the rest of the work week with our next significant chance of rain coming up over the weekend, likely late Friday night through Saturday night.
