(NEWTON) The 2018 Jasper County Fair is nearly two weeks away, scheduled for June 25 through July 1, on the fairgrounds in Newton. A couple of new shows are scheduled for visitors. The Lil Monster Truck Showdown is entertainment for the entire family featuring mini monster trucks and the added Rodeo event will be offering broncs, bulls, barrel racing, and calf roping. Meanwhile, the traditional fair events will also be offered, including the Queen and Little Miss Pageants, the Talent Show, Flat Drags, Tractor Pulls, the Antique Farm Machinery Show, Demo Derby, and afternoon Harness Racing on Friday and Saturday. The Youth Livestock Shows and 4-H Shows will also be highlighted during the Jasper County Fair with the 4-H Livestock Auction Thursday evening. The popular Carnival will run Tuesday through Sunday, each night from 6:00 to 10:00, along with various games, fair concessions, and much more. Everything will then finish up with some great live entertainment and fireworks on Sunday evening, July 1. This year’s admission will be a one price gate admission of $5 or advance purchase of 6 for $20.
