(NEWTON) A new Miss Jasper County Fair Queen was crowned last night in Newton. It’s Lauren Probst, the 19 year old daughter of Phil and Angie Probst, as she was selected during the Fair Queen Pageant on Monday night at the Jasper County Fair. Lauren was crowned by outgoing Queen Kennedy Parr. The pageant’s 1st Runner Up was 18 year old Paige Klingler, while the Miss Congeniality Award went to 16 year old Renee Probst. Congratulations to Lauren Probst, our new Miss Jasper County Fair Queen as she’ll reign over the rest of this week’s Fair in Newton, plus represent Jasper County over the next twelve months.
(NEWTON) The 2018 Jasper County Fair continues in Newton. It’s more 4-H Livestock judging today with the Swine Show this morning and the Beef Show this afternoon, all followed by tonight’s main events, including the Pedal Tractor Pull at 6:30, the Talent Show at 6:30, and the Flat Drags at 8:00, plus the Fair’s Carnival kicks off its six night run tonight from 6:00 to 10:00. Admission is $5 per person at the gate. On tomorrow’s schedule is more Beef & Swine judging and the Lil Monster Trucks tomorrow night at 7:00.
