(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau’s weekly rainfall report is out with the recording period ending at 10:00 yesterday morning for the eleven reporting sites within the county. The highest amount of rain received in the county over the past seven days was two and a half inches (2.50) at three locations – Olney & Claremont Townships and the Farm Bureau office in Olney. The fourth highest total was two inches and two tenths (2.20) in Decker Township, followed by two inches and a tenth (2.10) in German Township, two inches even (2.00) in Denver Township, an inch and nine tenths (1.90) in both Noble and one of the Bonpas Township locations. Then an inch and eight tenths (1.80) in the other Bonpas Township site and in Madison Township, and an inch and a tenth (1.10) in Preston Township. Here at our WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service Weather Station, at the south edge of Olney, we recorded an inch and eighty-four hundredths (1.84). In comparison, we had nearly an inch and a half a year ago this past week.
