(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau’s weekly rainfall report is out with the recording period ending at 10:00 yesterday morning for the eleven reporting sites within the county. The highest amount of rain received in the county over the past seven days was six tenths of an inch (0.60) in Preston Township, followed by a half inch (0.50) in one of the Bonpas Township sites and forty-five hundredths of an inch of rain (0.45) in the other Bonpas Township location. Both Olney and Madison Townships recorded a tenth of an inch (0.10) while all other locations (Denver, German, Noble, Claremont, Decker, and the Farm Bureau Office in Olney) received no measurable rain over the seven days and nights. Here at our WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service Weather Station, at the south edge of Olney, we recorded seventeen hundredths of an inch of rain (0.17). In comparison, we had no rain at all a year ago this past week at WVLN-WSEI.
