The Noble Chowder Committee will meet next Tuesday, July 17, at the Noble Village Hall beginning at 7:00. Attendance and any volunteer help would be greatly appreciated. Also, pie pans are now available at Village Hall and Noble Foods for individuals to pick up and return with a pie to the Chowder on August 11.
The Stringtown Picnic at the St. Joseph Catholic Church is this coming Sunday (7/15/18) with an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord from 11:00 to 2:00 in the air-conditioned, handicap-accessible Parish Center. The menu includes beef, ham, & homemade noodle meals with carry-outs available and tickets at the door. Also other food, games, and entertainment from 11:00 to 6:00. The Scouts of Richland County invites everyone to its Free Swim Night this coming Saturday (7/14/18) night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Musgrove Aquatic Center in Olney. All youth, boys & girls, ages 5 to 18 or in grades K thru 12, are welcome to attend and learn more about the scouting program in Richland County. Check it out.
The Cork & Pork Festival is set for this coming Saturday (7/14/18) at Picquet Park in Ste. Marie. The event features several vineyards with their products, plenty of food, and live entertainment. All are invited.
The Just Plain Christians will host a Summer Rockfest in Martinsville this coming Saturday (7/14/18) with the various activities starting at 10:00 in the morning. The band performances will start at 12:00 noon.
The Olney VFW will host another “taco night” tomorrow night (7/13/18) at the #4226 Post Home with serving from 5:30 to 7:30 or until gone. It’s open to the public. Either eat in or call in orders for pick up. All proceeds go to help the VFW Auxiliary with various projects and activities.
The Big Blue Book Bus is back with two stops later today and evening on this Thursday (7/12/18). The Bus will visit the Noble Village Park from 3:30 to 4:30 and the Dundas Ruritan Building from 5:00 to 6:00. Sponsored by the Richland County Schools and the Rotary Club of Richland County, the mobile library is available to Richland County students Pre-K through 8th Grade with no ID and/or library card needed.
