(OLNEY/NEWTON) With a heat advisory in effect for our listening area from 12:00 noon today until 6:00 this evening, this Saturday is expected to be one of the hottest days so far this year. With the increased level of humidity and with an upper wave weather system approaching, our first downstate rain chance will be late this evening and overnight. Then the rain chances much improve tomorrow through tomorrow night as the weather system is not in a hurry to leave the Midwest. Another upper wave with drag with it a cold front across Illinois on Monday, giving us more rain chances through Monday night. Then we’re back to near normal weather conditions with less humidity and highs in the 80’s for the rest of next week, maybe some rain towards next weekend. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather updates.
