(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau’s weekly rainfall report is out with the recording period ending at 10:00 yesterday morning for the eleven reporting sites within the county. The highest amount of rain received in the county over the past seven days was two inches and seven tenths (2.70) in German Township, followed by an inch and seven tenths (1.70) in Preston Township and six tenths of an inch (0.60) in Denver Township. Both Claremont and Decker Townships had a half inch of rain (0.50), followed by Noble Township with four tenths (0.40), the Farm Bureau Office in Olney with three tenths (0.30), Olney Township with a quarter of an inch (0.25), both Madison Township and one of the Bonpas Township sites had fifteen hundredths of an inch (0.15), and the other Bonpas Township site with a tenth of an inch (0.10). Here at our WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service Weather Station, at the south edge of Olney, we recorded twenty-eight hundredths of an inch of rain (0.28) over the past week. In comparison from a year ago this past week, we received an inch and twenty-six hundredths (1.26) here at our WVLN-WSEI studios.
