(OLNEY) The investigation continues into a Richland County traffic accident that occurred at 2:09 yesterday afternoon along Illinois Route 130 at the north edge of Olney. The Illinois State Police report that 34 year old Brady K. King of Henderson, Kentucky, was southbound on Route 130 when a golf cart, driven by 81 year old William D. Spitz of Olney, attempted to cross the highway. Although the pickup driver swerved in an effort to avoid hitting the golf cart, a collision occurred and Spitz was ejected from the golf cart. Spitz was airlifted from the scene to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. No tickets were issued. The Olney Fire Department and other emergency personnel assisted the State Police at the accident scene.
(FLORA) The investigation also continues into a Clay County traffic crash that occurred at 5:29 last evening on the Kinmundy Road at the intersection with a county road about five miles west of Louisville. The Illinois State Police report that 29 year old Jamie N. Colclasure of Edgewood was southbound on Bethel Drive when she disobeyed a stop sign and collided with a westbound pickup truck on Kinmundy Road driven by 43 year old Gabe L. Blair of Louisville. Colclasure was airlifted from the scene to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield while a passenger, 35 year old Nick R. McCarty of Edgewood, was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Blair was transported by ambulance to Clay County Hospital in Flora. Tickets are pending. Clay County emergency personnel assisted the State Police at the accident scene.
