(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau’s weekly rainfall report is out with the recording period ending at 10:00 this past Monday morning for the eleven reporting sites within the county. The highest amount of rain received in the county over the seven days was six tenths of an inch (0.60) in Denver Township, followed by German Township with fifty-five hundredths (0.55), Preston Township with four tenths (0.40), and both Noble Township and the Farm Bureau Office in Olney with three tenths of an inch (0.30). Five locations recorded two tenths of an inch (0.20) including both Bonpas Township sites, plus Olney, Claremont, and Decker Townships. Madison Township had the least amount of rain at fifteen hundredths of an inch (0.15). Here at our WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service Weather Station, at the south edge of Olney, we recorded twenty-seven hundredths over the seven days. In comparison from a year ago this past week, we received an inch and nine tenths (1.90) here at our WVLN-WSEI studios.
