(OLNEY/NEWTON) It will be another muggy day on tap for this Monday as our downstate area remains on the hot side of an approaching cold front that ranges from central Wisconsin into southeast Iowa and further into northwest Kansas early this morning. That cold front will move through upstate Illinois tonight, through our region tomorrow, and into the Ohio River Valley by tomorrow night. With the unstable air mass, that means slight rain chances later this afternoon, with our better chances of getting wet tomorrow morning through tomorrow night with anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain possible before it ends. After some lingering rain possibly early Wednesday morning, we’ll dry out with some less humid conditions into Thursday and Friday, however a forecasted weak cold front could bring us more rain chances for the first half of the weekend. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for continued weather updates and more.
