The Noble Chowder is coming up this Saturday with the serving of chowder and other food items to start at 11:00 that morning in the Noble Village Park. It’s $15 for a gallon, $8 for a half gallon, or $3 for a bowl, plus a quarter chicken, pork burgers, and much more. The quilt raffle drawing is at 1:15 with the general raffle drawing at 1:30. Raffle tickets will remain on sale in Noble right up until drawing time on Saturday.
The Richland County High School continues to sell student parking permits in the RCHS Office. That’s for all juniors today from 8:00 to 2:00 and then tomorrow through next Tuesday, August 14, during regular office hours at RCHS. Starting August 15, the parking permits must be bought either before or after school.
There’s a local municipal meeting tonight as the Newton City Council meets at the Newton City Hall beginning at 6:00. The agenda includes both old and new business, plus more. It’s all open to the public.
The Richland County Farmer’s Market is back today in the Olney City Park from 9:00 to 4:00. It includes farm fresh produce, baked items, and more, all available to the public for purchase.
