(OLNEY/NEWTON) With yesterday’s warm front that moved northward across Illinois, our downstate area received anywhere from a half inch up to two inches of rain on average, some more, some less. Now a secondary surface trough will drag a cold front through the state later today bringing with it more rain chances through this afternoon before ending. Then drier and less humid air will begin to spread into our region tonight with a couple pleasant days on tap for midweek as high pressure slowly builds across the Midwest. A weak shortwave weather system will drop out of the Upper Midwest with some slight rain chances for us on Friday and Saturday morning with another dry and good looking Sunday coming up. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for any alerts or warnings.
