(OLNEY/NEWTON) It looks like a dry and rather cool day on tap today as that cold front that moved through our region yesterday, now over Central Ohio into Northwestern Kentucky, will keep the tropical / unstable air mass far to our south. Plus, a high pressure ridge in the Upper Midwest will drift eastward, allowing drier air to move into and through Illinois. Some high clouds today will keep our sky mixed up and that will continue through tonight. Looking at the upcoming holiday weekend, that subtropical ridge east of the mid Atlantic States will continue its northwesterly movement, therefore blocking any type of anticipated rain chances for us tomorrow through Saturday and Sunday, although there is a slight chance of some scattered rain Sunday night. Then dry for Labor Day and the first half of next week with near normal temperatures in place as well. Be listening to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for updates and weather information.
