(SPRINGFIELD) The Illinois State Police is reminding motorists to make safety their “number one” priority while driving this weekend. Troopers will be out focusing their attention on the primary factors that contribute to fatal traffic crashes, including distracted driving (texting while driving), not wearing seat belts, and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. State Troopers and other local law enforcement agencies are now out in extra force continuing their efforts through the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. Make sure you obey all “rules of the road” while traveling through Illinois this holiday weekend.
