(OLNEY) Richland County landowners are reminded that the second and final installment of real estate taxes is due this coming Wednesday, September 5. The payments can be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office, open tomorrow and Wednesday, from 8:00 to 4:00 each day, although the office is closed today due to the observance of Labor Day. Payments can also be mailed with a postmark of September 5 or they can be placed in the drop box on the south side of the Courthouse. Call the Office tomorrow if any questions.
(OLNEY/NOBLE/NEWTON) A few reminders on this Labor Day : most all City and Village Halls are closed today in observance of Labor Day, including those in Olney, Newton, Noble, and elsewhere : Republic Services is not hauling trash today, therefore the trash pickup for all of this week will run a day later than normal, starting tomorrow : the curbside recycling pickup in Olney will not be affected by the holiday and will run on its regular schedule : and Olney’s Brush Dump is closed today, resuming its regular hours for the rest of this week, from 10:00 to 4:00, this coming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Here’s the list of upcoming area blood drives : tomorrow (9/4/18) at the Teutopolis KC Hall from 1:00 to 6:00 : Wednesday (9/5/18) at the Toledo Christian Church from 2:00 to 6:00 : Thursday (9/6/18) at the Blood Donation Center in Effingham from 12:15 to 6:45 : Friday (9/7/18) at the Hutsonville High School from 2:00 to 6:00 : all blood types and platelets are very much needed with a critical need for type “O” blood.
