(NEWTON) The 2018 Jasper County Fall Festival is this weekend in Newton. The 45th Annual event kicks off Friday afternoon with a Fall Ball Send-Off Pep Rally from 4:30 to 5:15 cheering on the Newton Eagles for their home football game later that night. There will be Homemade & Unique Craft Market & Local Food Vendors set up from 4:00 to 9:00, free Kid’s Fall Games & a Little Maze, plus the Pumpkin Decorating voting from 4:00 to 8:00, and music on stage from 6:00 to 11:00. Then a full day of activities on Saturday starting with breakfast at the Grace United Methodist Church from 6:00 to 10:00, the Classic Car Show registration from 9:00 to 12 noon, Vincennes Pet Adoption from 9:00 to 12 noon, Homemade & Unique Craft Market & Local Food Vendors from 9:00 to 7:00, a popular Fall Festival Parade at 10:00, the Pumpkin Growing Contest at 12 noon, the Petting Zoo from 12:00 to 4:00, Future Firemen Training from 12:00 to 5:00, free Kid’s Fall Games & Littles Maze from 12:00 to 8:00, Pedal Tractor Pull sign up at 12 noon with the Pull at 1:00, Norris Electric Bucket Rides from 12:00 to 3:00, a Hot Dog Eating Contest from 3:00 to 4:00, Hayrides from 3:00 on, the Little Pumpkin Pageant at 4:00, Corn Hole Tournament at 6:00, and plenty of live music on stage from 6:00 to 11:00. Also the 2018 Photo Contest pictures will be on display Friday from 10:00 to 5:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 1:00 at the Newton Public Library.
