(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a high pressure ridge continues to dominate our Midwestern weather today, we’ll see plenty of sunshine with the abnormally hot and humid conditions hanging around as well. The frontal boundary off to our northwest will finally move toward our region of Illinois by tomorrow night, bringing with it rain chances, although slight in nature on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. Our rain chances will then ramp up for Friday and Saturday, although the remnants of tropical system Gordon may slow the track as it moves northward into the Midwest. Extended forecast models show a cool down maybe by midweek, next week. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather updates and information.
