(OLNEY) The “Designs of Duty” exhibit featuring East Central Illinois Veterans and their service-related tattoos continues on display at the Olney Public Library, from now thru Friday, September 28. The “Design of Duty” exhibit tells the stories of seven military Veterans who served our country over a 45 year period throughout Asia and Europe. All are urged to visit the exhibit, now on display at the Olney Public Library.
(NEWTON) The Jasper County Solid Waste Program is continuing this week. The weekday morning dumpsters will be available from 7:30 to 12:00 noon each day. That’s tomorrow, Tuesday (9/11/18), at the Smallwood site, on Wednesday (9/12/18) at the Gila location, and on Thursday (9/13/18) at the Ste. Marie site. The Newton location, at the County Highway Garage Building, is open Saturday from 7:00 to 3:30.

Here’s the list of upcoming area blood drives : today (9/10/18) at the Full Armour Christian Academy in Louisville from 2:00 to 6:00 : tomorrow (9/11/18) at the Olney VFW from 1:00 to 6:00 : Thursday (9/13/18) at The Holiday Restaurant & Hotel in Olney from 2:00 to 6:00 : Friday (9/14/18) at the Clay County Hospital in Flora from 12:00 to 4:00 : all blood types and platelets are needed, plus a critical need for type “O” blood.
