(OLNEY/NEWTON) On this morning’s Regional Weather Discussion the only real concern for today is this morning’s potential fog development in some downstate areas, however the fog will lift quickly by mid-morning on this Tuesday. Otherwise, plenty of sunshine mixed up with various clouds through this evening. The high pressure over the Great Lakes Region will continue to keep us dry and somewhat cool for the rest of this work week and into the weekend. We’ll likely see temperatures increasing as we move through the week with plenty of sunshine. However, the main long range forecast concern for our downstate region is at the tail end of when the remnants of Florence move further inland. Although the movement will slow down considerably once it hits land, it’s track could move up into our Midwestern region where it could be greeted by a frontal system moving southeast out of Canada. But this is not until the first part of next week. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather details and updates.
