(OLNEY/NEWTON) Weather-wise, it’s the same story, different day, as an upper level ridge remains in place over the Upper Midwest, keeping our sky dry and plenty of sunshine and some clouds mixed in. This weather will meanwhile continue tomorrow and right on through the upcoming weekend as well. There will be a slight increase in humidity and temperatures tomorrow, but nothing like the high heat and humidity that we’ve had earlier this year. The focus into early next week remains with the interaction of the upper level ridge and the remnants of Hurricane Florence. Longer range weather models are struggling with the ultimate disposition of the weather systems, although none of the models so far any significant rainfall or winds for our downstate area as a result. At this point in time, a developing cold front far to our northwest will likely bring us our next rain chances by Wednesday night or Thursday of next week. Stay tuned for weather updates and be listening to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for continued updates and/or warnings.
