(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the approaching cold front moves across Illinois our chances of getting wet today increase this afternoon with showers and possibly thunderstorms, some of which could be severe with gusty winds. However, as the system slows down and somewhat stalls out near the Ohio River Valley, we’ll still have some rain chances hanging around through tomorrow, although most of us will stay dry. But at least the cooler air will filter in behind the frontal system with less humidity in place this weekend and into the first of next week. Maybe some more rain chances for the first of next week as well. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for further details on the weather or other information.
