(OLNEY/NEWTON) A weak short-wave trough from northern Arkansas to the Ohio River Valley will give us some light scattered rain today through tonight, all to be followed by a cold front that will sweep through our downstate area by late Tuesday night. Ahead of the front, we’ll have more rain chances through the day tomorrow, with some severe weather possible. Once the front passes, a cool and dry airmass will arrive for a pleasant finish to the work week with plenty of sunshine Wednesday through Friday. At this point in time, it also appears to be dry and a little warmer for the upcoming weekend. Stay tuned for weather updates and be sure to monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for other weather information.
